Irving L. Weissman

Brief Bio

Irving L. Weissman is a professor of pathology and developmental biology at the Stanford University School of Medicine and, by courtesy, a professor of biology at the School of Humanities and Sciences at Stanford University. He is also director of both the Stanford Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine and the Stanford Ludwig Center for Stem Cell Research. Dr. Weissman was president of The American Association of Immunologists from 1994 to 1995 and served on the AAI Council from 1989 to 1994.
