The American Association of Immunologists supports the career development of immunologists at every career stage.
AAI maintains lists of training and job opportunities in immunology: Graduate Programs, Postdoctoral Fellowships, Faculty Positions, Research Scientists, and Fellowships/Internships. AAI also offers intensive Immunology Courses each summer for professional training and development.
The AAI Awards Program recognizes scientists of distinction at every career stage. AAI Career Awards honor individuals for research and career achievements. AAI Travel Awards and Grants recognize the professional promise of early- and mid-career investigators by assisting them with travel to the AAI annual meeting.
Immunologists may benefit from these opportunities for research funding, grants and awards offered by other agencies.
GRIP helps new investigators prepare their NIH grant proposals by matching them with established investigators who have significant, successful grant writing careers.
Career development sessions are offered at the AAI annual meeting. Past sessions have included "Careers in Science: Lecture and Roundtable," "Secrets for a Successful Postdoctoral Fellowship," and "Boot Camp for New Faculty." Click here for updated information on the program for IMMUNOLOGY2012™.
